 Oil Painting with MM Kent- Fall 2008

 Supplies-

Paint (37 ml tubes are ok) Bring what you have, but the following are recommended, especially the yellow :

·        1 Dark Red (either Transparent Red Oxide,Alizarin Crimson,Perylene Scarlet or Quinacridone Burnt Scarlet

·        1Cadmium Red Light

·        1Cadmium Yellow Deep(not Grumbacher’s Academy Brand) or Indian Yellow

·        Raw Sienna or Quinacridone Gold

·        1 Sap Green

·        1 Ultramarine Blue

·        1 Magenta or Violet or Rose (bluish red)

·        1Titanium White (150-200 ml tube)

 Thinner (1/2 pint or pint can of odorless thinner)

Container with lid for cleaning brushes(optional)

Linseed Oil (Small Bottle)

Paper Grocery Bag

Paper Towels

Brushes- Natural Bristle brushes, flats or filberts size 2-12 or larger

            1 small short (3/4 in. long or less) sable or synthetic liner brush

Palette Knife

Palette- Brown or Gray is preferable, white ones are very difficult to use

Canvas or Board-(one for each session) I recommend sizes 8x10 – 11x14 –You may bring them or I will have some boards to paint on for $3-$7 each.

Easel (please bring one if you can)
